Frisco Football League

The FFL is proud to announce the addition of Dr. Joseph McNutt to its team by serving as Medical Director for the league.  He will be providing the league information concerning health and safety for its athletes via the web site and lectures. Dr. McNutt has arranged for certified athletic trainers to be on site at all league games this year to help provide on field aid as needed. This will obviously upgrade the league as a whole insuring quality care for the athletes.  In addition, Dr. McNutt will be opening his office every Sunday morning from 9 – 10 AM during the season for a FFL sports injury clinic. This will be a walk in clinic with no appointments needed and will provide all services including x-ray. His office is located at the intersection of 121 and Coit, Centennial Medical Pavilion suite #407.

Dr. McNutt is an Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in sports medicine and partner of Frisco Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. He is board certified in both general orthopedics and sports medicine. He completed a fellowship in adult and pediatric sports medicine.  He is a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America and American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. He has served as team physician for several local teams including Plano Prestonwood and Plano East Senior High and currently Lovejoy ISD in Allen.  In addition as serving as medical director for the FFL he also serves the same role with the Dallas Junior Hockey association. Dr. McNutt has also served as Chairman for the Department of Orthopedics for Presbyterian Hospital of Plano and Centennial Medical Center in Frisco.  D magazine has listed Dr McNutt in the Top Doctors in Dallas in 2006 and 2008 as voted by his peers.  Dr. McNutt is very excited to be helping the FFL and hopes to bring the highest level of service to the league.

In addition to the injury clinic, Dr. McNutt will be answering questions concerning subjects related to orthopedics and sports medicine. These questions can be submitted via the FFL web site and will be reviewed by Dr. McNutt. He will make every effort to answer these questions in a week’s time and post them on the FFL Website. This is a great opportunity to ask to ask the doctor questions relating to sports injuries, steroids, nutrition, etc. In addition, Dr. McNutt will be selecting various topics related to youth sports and injuries and write articles pertaining to these subjects. These articles will be posted on the website.
